Plexus Scientific Corporation seeks a Field Team Lead to support multiple field programs across the continental United States (CONUS). This is a remote position that requires travel to multiple locations for days and weeks at a time to support federal contracts for environmental investigations and/or remediation. This position will primarily support environmental investigation and remediation projects throughout the continental United States (CONUS) with an emphasis on CERCLA and RCRA processes. What you'll do: The work will encompass both field and supporting office work. Field activities may include supervising and conducting environmental field investigations (soil, groundwater, surface water, etc.), performing long term monitoring, documenting field conditions, supporting remediation activities through sampling activities, working with Mid and Sr. level Project Managers to ensure successful completion of all field tasks. Field activities may also include oversight of remediation activities such as soil excavations, amendment injections, and operation of remediation systems. Supporting office activities may include preparing for and consolidating field documentation for field events, assisting in the management of field and laboratory data, helping develop graphics depicting site investigation activities, supporting pricing for future work, supporting the development of period and unique reports, studies, and plans. Frequent travel is required, sometime for extended durations. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental or civil engineering, environmental science, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience related to the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal, state, or other cleanup programs. Must have adequate demonstrated experience in field work and task management. Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving. Strong technical/critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. PG or PE registration preferred. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required. USEPA or state certified lead risk assessor. Professional skills and experience we're looking for: Solid decision-making, planning, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to organize and manage a variety of work and meet internal and external deadlines. Experience with monitored natural attenuation of chlorinated solvents. Experience with radionuclides such as radium and/or thorium. Plexus offers benefits for full time positions. Full time positions also come with Flexible PTO days and at certain levels, a bonus program may apply. The Salary Range for this role is $55,000 - $85,000.
