Role Description
This is a remote, contract Filmmaker role focused on developing, directing, and producing visual content aligned with the mission of Your Script Produced!. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating on script development, planning and executing film shoots, and overseeing production logistics. The Filmmaker will manage or support video production workflows, coordinate with writers, actors, and other creatives, and ensure projects meet artistic and technical standards. The role also involves guiding post-production activities, such as reviewing edits, refining narrative structure, and delivering final cuts that highlight underrepresented talent and authentic stories.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Film Direction and Scriptwriting to shape compelling narratives and guide performance and visual storytelling.
- Candidates should possess skills in Film Production and Video Production to plan, organize, and execute shoots, including technical setup and on-set coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in Post-Production to collaborate on editing, sound, and visual finishing, ensuring polished and impactful final deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience creating short films, features, or digital video content, ideally with independent or underrepresented creatives.
- Strong communication and remote collaboration skills, with the ability to work across time zones and manage deadlines for contract-based projects.
- Knowledge of industry-standard cameras, lighting, and editing software is highly beneficial.
- A portfolio or reel showcasing previous directing or filmmaking work is required.
