The Financial Analyst supports the Finance Manager and broader finance team with daily financial controlling, product costing, accounting accuracy, and routine financial reporting across the local site in Poland, while providing analytical support for operations in France and Germany. Combining hands-on execution of month-end reconciliations with data analysis to support operational decision-making, this position offers an ideal opportunity to build a strong foundation in manufacturing accounting, costing, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement at our Wrocław site.
Product Costing & Operational Analysis: Assist in maintaining standard product costing, cost allocations, and inventory valuations in accordance with company policies, while supporting variance analysis (Purchase Price Variance, Material Usage Variance, Labor & Overhead efficiencies) and collaborating with operational teams to track key drivers.
Profitability & Reporting: Assist in monitoring product and customer profitability, contributing to baseline pricing and margin analysis, and helping load and reconcile financial data into corporate reporting tools (e.g., HFM).
Month-End Close & Compliance: Support the Finance Manager in executing the month-end close process under US GAAP and Local GAAP, performing General Ledger postings, routine balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany settlements.
Audit & Statutory Support: Help gather documentation for local statutory compliance, statutory audit preparation, and local tax reporting alongside external advisors.
Planning & Business Support: Assist with data collection and entry for annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and rolling projection processes, supporting basic financial modeling for local business cases, CAPEX requests, and cost-saving initiatives.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (pursuing professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Fluency in Polish and English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
Skills you need to succeed:
- Foundational understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, and general accounting principles (Local GAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP), combined with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, core formulas, data management) and exposure to ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP) or corporate reporting tools (e.g., HFM).
- Strong attention to detail, eager to learn, proactive problem-solving mindset, and good communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments (Operations, Supply Chain, Shared Service Centers).
