About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant with 2–3 years' experience to join our London-based Finance team. This role covers core transactional finance, reconciliations, and compliance activities, supporting the wider team through month-end close and reporting cycles.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Process accruals and prepayments as part of month-end close
- Manage invoicing and collections, chasing outstanding customer payments
- Processing of supplier invoices and payments
- Prepare and submit VAT and sales tax returns
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
About You
- 2–3 years' experience in a finance or accounts role
- Solid understanding of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite).
- Strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not essential
