A rapidly growing Australian organisation with operations across Australia and New Zealand is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its corporate team.

The organisation operates across a diverse portfolio of health clubs, wellness and spa facilities, golf, aquatic and sporting venues, with more than 200 locations.

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner will act as the key conduit between Finance and Operations, leading financial analysis, modelling, budgeting and process improvement across designated areas of the organisation.

The role will translate financial and operational data into meaningful, actionable insights to support informed business decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with Operations to prepare accurate budgets and forecasts, acting as a conduit between Operations and Financial Accounting.
• Lead analysis of customer and partner contracts, providing detailed financial and non-financial analysis, advice, reporting and recommendations.
• Provide analysis and insights to Centre Managers, Heads of Department, Business Operations Managers, senior management and contract partners/franchisees.
• Prepare reports and presentations for contract partners covering financial performance, risks, corrective actions and opportunities.
• Support Operations in achieving financial objectives by identifying cost-saving opportunities and resource optimisation initiatives.
• Leverage Power BI to improve reporting processes and ensure data integrity, accuracy, completeness, consistency and validity.
• Evaluate Power BI reporting to provide industry comparisons and benchmarks for business cases and budgeting.
• Translate financial and operational information into actionable insights for senior management and strategic decision-making.
• Support the development of financial capability among venue managers by educating, challenging and empowering managers to use financial information effectively.
• Prepare and support business cases, ensuring recommendations meet contractual requirements and are financially sound.
• Identify contractual and financial risks and proactively escalate issues to relevant management stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to maximise business growth and financial results.
• Identify and address performance gaps against operating standards.
• Make appropriate decisions in line with organisational policies and business standards.

About You

You will have an interest in the health, wellness, sport, leisure or recreation sector and proven experience working as a Finance Business Partner in health, wellness, sport and leisure.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• 3+ years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced commercial environment, ideally with exposure to best-practice processes and systems.
• Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Experience within the leisure, sport, health, recreation or related industries will be highly regarded.
