I am working with a PE backed SME in the software/digital sector to recruit a Qualified Finance Director to support the CEO through further growth.
The role will cover financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial controls and governance across the Group.
Working closely with the CEO and Board, the successful candidate will strengthen the finance function so it can support a growing, private equity-backed business. They will also play an important role in the Group’s growth plans, including acquisition opportunities, investment activity, integration work and long-term value creation.
This is a hands on leadership role and will be responsible for:
• Manage all financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful management information.
• Own and lead the annual budget, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Produce high-quality monthly management accounts, Board packs, performance dashboards, and KPI reporting.
• Analyse financial performance, margins, variances and key business drivers, turning findings into clear recommendations and actions.
• Oversee statutory accounts, tax compliance, and all relevant financial filing requirements, working with external advisers as appropriate.
• Oversee cash management, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital
• Review and improve finance systems, data quality, automation and reporting processes.
• Build a scalable finance infrastructure capable of supporting continued organic growth and acquisition activity.
The successful candidate:
• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional qualification.
• Minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance role in industry
• Experience within a high-growth, entrepreneurial or rapidly scaling business environment.
• Experience within a private equity-owned or private equity-backed organisation.
• Exposure to acquisitions, mergers, investments, financial due diligence or post-acquisition integration.
Although the role in mainly remote, you must be located within travelling distance of Milton Keynes and London for senior leadership meetings on a regular basis
