Role Description The Finance Intern role at Insight Genesis – IGAi is a full-time, remote position supporting the finance team in daily operational and analytical tasks. The intern will assist with reviewing and updating financial records, supporting the preparation and analysis of financial statements, and helping with basic accounting entries and reconciliations. Responsibilities include collecting and organizing financial data, conducting analytical reviews to identify trends, and preparing reports and summaries for internal stakeholders. The Finance Intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities, while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to internal controls. This role offers exposure to AI-driven business models, digital finance in emerging markets, and the financial aspects of a growing technology company.

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance, including exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Financial Statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and the ability to assist in their preparation and review.
• Candidates should possess Accounting skills, such as understanding debits and credits, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findings.
• Relevant skills and qualifications include proficiency in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets), attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Interest in AI, financial inclusion, and emerging markets, along with the ability to work independently in a remote environment, will be beneficial.
