The company’s current operations span Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand, and has plans in place to expand to other markets in the near future.

The Role

Seedflex is scaling rapidly, and finance is a key function responsible for enabling that growth. The Finance / Senior Finance Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kuala Lumpur City, with flexibility for partial work from home. This key role will report directly to the CFO and have group level responsibilities across Asia spanning: fundraising & treasury operations, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and providing data-driven insights to leadership for strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

Fund Raising & Treasury Management

• Support the CFO in equity and debt fundraising discussions with VCs, private credit funds, and banks — preparing data and materials, and acting as day-to-day point of contact
• Administer debt facilities — tracking drawdowns, repayments, interest calculations, and utilization against limits
• Own monthly covenant monitoring and the collateral allocation process and reporting for existing lenders
• Own and maintain the liquidity model, cash flow forecasts and support liquidity management across entities

Monthly Financial Close & Reporting

• Roll forward consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) across group entities
• Be the lead point of contact for external audit with schedules, reconciliations, and query responses
• Own day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance on Xero — AP/AR, journal entries, fixed asset register etc
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, including loan agreements and cross-charges feeding into consolidation

FP&A and Budgeting

• Own and maintain the financial model, rolling it forward each month. Assist in projections and modelling scenarios
• Track unit economic drivers and margin analysis across business lines and key products
• Assist the CFO in the budgeting process; prepare budget-vs-actual and variance analysis
• Support preparation of KPI and management reporting packs for leadership and investors

Candidate Profile

Required

• 3–7 years of relevant industry experience, incl in audit, financial services, or NBFI / banking / treasury operations
• Strong skills in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to interpret data and present clear recommendations.
• Experience in financial reporting, management accounts, and cash flow management.
• Knowledge of financial controls, audit processes, and regulatory and tax compliance, preferably within financial services.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software (e.g., Excel, accounting systems), and comfort working with data and analytics.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or OpenAI to automate tasks and improve productivity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CPA, MIA) are an advantage.
• Willingness to work from the KL office 1–3 days per week

Preferred

• Experience in fintech, lending, or credit risk management, and familiarity with Asian markets, is highly beneficial.
• Exposure to financial modelling, liquidity modelling.
• Familiarity with loan covenant tracking, collateral/borrowing-base mechanics, or lender reporting.
• Exposure to IFRS 9 staging and expected credit loss (ECL) methodology.

The successful candidate will receive training directly from the CFO, covering company structure, tools, and workbook-specific processes.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
