We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a broad and influential role that combines financial leadership, governance and commercial decision support. You’ll lead a team of three and partner with senior leaders across the business, delivering financial insights and advice that help shape decisions, manage risk and drive strong commercial outcomes for Bulla.
As a trusted finance partner, you’ll be able to take complex financial information and translate it into clear insights, recommendations and actions. You’ll be confident engaging with and challenging senior stakeholders when required, while building strong relationships and working collaboratively across the business.
You’ll bring a strong sense of accountability, integrity and attention to detail, along with a commercially minded approach to financial management. You’ll be comfortable operating in a role where strong governance and compliance are just as important as understanding the broader business and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
What’s the Scoop?
This is a hands-on role with responsibility across the full spectrum of financial management, including:
- Leading the month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting and financial governance processes.
- Taking ownership of cashflow forecasting, treasury and liquidity management, ensuring the business has clear visibility of its cash position and future requirements.
- Managing working capital performance, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and cash conversion.
- Leading balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring financial accounts are accurate, well supported and appropriately reviewed.
- Managing capital expenditure governance, including business cases, approval tracking, spend reporting and post-completion reviews.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Supporting audit processes and ensuring the Finance function is consistently audit-ready.
- Providing clear financial analysis, commentary and recommendations to the Head of Finance, Executive Team and other senior stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business, partnering with leaders to understand performance, risks and opportunities.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of three direct reports, creating a collaborative and accountable team environment.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, reporting and controls.
What You’ll Bring:
- CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
- Strong experience in financial management, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Dairy experience would be highly regarded, however strong FMCG experience is critical.
- Proven expertise in cashflow forecasting, treasury and working capital management.
- Strong accounts receivable/debtors management experience and an understanding of the drivers of cash conversion.
- Demonstrated experience with statutory reporting, financial controls, compliance and audit.
- Strong month-end, balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting capability.
- Experience managing capex governance and financial modelling.
- Strong ERP experience, with SAP highly regarded.
- Advanced Excel and strong reporting/analytical capability.
- A highly process-driven and compliance-focused approach, with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to identify risks, challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
- Confidence communicating financial information to senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team and Board.
