Role Description This full-time Finance Manager role is a hybrid position based in Westport, with flexibility for some work from home. The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow management, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting. The role involves preparing accurate monthly and annual financial statements, monitoring project and grant budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial, regulatory, and audit requirements. The Finance Manager will collaborate with senior leadership on financial planning, provide data-driven insights to support strategic decisions, and help optimize the use of resources across the organization. The position also includes maintaining financial systems and processes, liaising with external advisors and auditors, and contributing to continuous improvement of finance policies and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
• Proficiency in accounting practices, financial reporting, and preparation of management accounts.
• Experience working with accounting software and spreadsheets, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to non-profit or charitable organizations.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a small team environment and work independently when needed.
• Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline (e.g., degree or professional certification).
• Prior experience in the charity, environmental, or community sector is an advantage.
• Commitment to the mission of Leave No Trace and an interest in environmental protection and outdoor recreation.
