Finance Manager (Abu Dhabi time zone)

Finance Manager - Remote Location: Remote Working Hours: Gulf Standard Time (Abu Dhabi time zone) Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Function: Finance and Fund Operations Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take operational ownership of the finance function under the direction of the CFO. The role covers financial reporting, reconciliations, fund valuations, taxation, treasury, regulatory capital calculations, payroll and audit coordination across the business, its funds and associated Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). The Finance Manager will prepare and manage the day-to-day finance activities, with the CFO providing review and approval. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Manage monthly bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations. Prepare UAE Corporate Tax returns, VAT filings and FATCA/CRS reports for CFO review and approval. Manage day-to-day treasury and cash operations within approved policies. Prepare monthly regulatory capital adequacy calculations. Process payroll and maintain Wage Protection System compliance. Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready financial records. Fund and SPV Operations Conduct quarterly fair-value assessments across fund and SPV portfolios. Prepare Net Asset Value calculations. Maintain Limited Partner capital accounts. Account for capital calls and distributions. Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for external auditors. Maintain accurate books and records using Xero. Promptly escalate financial-control, data-integrity and reporting deadline risks to the CFO. Candidate Requirements Experience Approximately 4–7 years of relevant finance experience, including at least two years post-qualification. Experience in private equity, venture capital, fund administration or asset management is strongly preferred. Strong exposure to IFRS and fund/SPV accounting. Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and FATCA/CRS is advantageous. Experience supporting audits and maintaining regulatory compliance. Systems Hands-on Xero experience is strongly preferred. Comfortable working with integrated and highly automated finance systems. Strong spreadsheet, reporting and financial-analysis skills. Personal Attributes Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused. Able to identify gaps and take ownership of resolving them. Comfortable working independently within a small, distributed team. Willing to support colleagues outside the immediate scope of the role when needed. Highly disciplined in meeting monthly and quarterly deadlines. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and record-keeping standards. Working Arrangement This is a remote position requiring the successful candidate to: Maintain core working hours aligned with Gulf Standard Time. Work effectively and independently in a remote environment. Travel to Abu Dhabi periodically when required. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive company, investor and portfolio information.
