Finance Manager - Moorabbin

NORTHSIX is partnering with an established business that supplies into the construction industry, with a strong focus on commercial projects. This is a key role in a growing business, suited to a finance professional who enjoys owning the full finance function

The Role

Reporting to the Director, you will run the day-to-day finance function and provide clear, accurate financial reporting across the business and its projects.

• Prepare and lodge BAS and manage tax obligations
• Lead end-of-month close-outs and reporting
• Produce project financial reporting using Procore
• Manage accounts and reconciliations in Xero, including cross-referencing statements
• Oversee payroll for a team of 43 staff, ensuring compliance with EBA conditions (payroll processing sits with another team member)
• Work with project managers and leadership to keep project costs and cash flow on track
• Identify and implement automation across finance processes, including the use of AI tools
• General finance management duties as the business grows

About You

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
• Construction industry experience will be highly regarded
• Strong working knowledge of Xero. Procore experience is a bonus
• Solid understanding of BAS, tax, month end processes and project reporting
• Experience overseeing payroll under EBA conditions
• Confident using AI tools such as Claude to automate processes, or keen to learn
• Builds strong working relationships with project teams, suppliers and leadership, and communicates financial information clearly to people outside finance
• Accurate, organised and able to work autonomously

Benefits

• $120,000 to $140,000 plus super
• Hybrid working, with three days in the Moorabbin office and two from home once onboarding is complete.
