We’re partnering with a fast-growing Irish tech business that’s expanding quickly across Europe. They’re looking for a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function, own the month-end and year-end process, and act as the key finance partner to the leadership team. This is a senior, hands-on role with genuine influence over how finance is structured as the business scales.

What the Role Involves

  • Leading the monthly and annual close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clear audit trails
  • Owning management accounts and board reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI commentary
  • Building and maintaining the 12-month rolling forecast and annual budget with the leadership team
  • Managing revenue recognition for subscription and SaaS income under IFRS 15 or FRS 102
  • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and cash management
  • Managing VAT compliance across Ireland and the EU, including OSS filings for digital services
  • Overseeing payroll reconciliations and statutory payroll filings (PAYE, PRSI, USC)
  • Leading the relationship with external auditors and advisers on statutory accounts, corporation tax and R&D tax credits
  • Supporting fundraising, investor reporting and due diligence as required
  • Line-managing and developing junior finance staff
  • Designing and improving finance systems, controls and processes as the business grows

What the Client Is Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA Ireland)
  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
  • Experience in a fast-growth tech, SaaS or scale-up environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and/or IFRS, including revenue recognition
  • Solid understanding of Irish corporation tax, VAT and payroll obligations
  • Hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, Sage Intacct, NetSuite or QuickBooks
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and forecasting
  • Proven track record of building processes and controls from the ground up
  • Confident communicator who can present financials clearly to non-finance leaders and investors

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and intercompany consolidation
  • Familiarity with Stripe, Chargebee or similar billing and revenue systems
  • Exposure to EMI share schemes, option accounting and cap table management
  • Experience supporting a Series A or B fundraise or investor due diligence
  • Experience working alongside a US parent entity or US GAAP reporting

What the Client Offers

  • Competitive salary and equity options
  • Private health insurance
  • Pension contribution scheme
  • Flexible and hybrid working
  • Learning budget and support for professional exams
  • A senior role with real influence over the finance function’s direction
