Your Mission

As Finance Operations Specialist in charge of International Locations, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable finance operations across our international entities.

Your primary responsibility will be Germany and Austria, where you will take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and act as the main point of contact for our external accounting partners.

In addition, you will coordinate finance-related requirements from Group Accounting across our international locations, including Serbia, France, and Vietnam, helping ensure effective collaboration and consistent execution across entities.

You will be part of the Operations Team in Serbia, within the Central Services Business Unit, working alongside colleagues responsible for People, Finance, and Workplace Operations in Serbia. As part of your local role, you will also support finance operations for the Serbian entity and provide backup across key finance processes.

Specifically, you will work on:

  • Taking ownership of day-to-day finance operations for Germany and Austria, including:
    • Reviewing and approving invoices
    • Cost allocation
    • Coordinating accounting and general administration
    • Employee and supplier contracts
    • Tax and legal documentation
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual preparation, review of financial statements, and reporting.
  • Acting as the main finance point of contact for external accounting partners, alongside Group Accounting.
  • Coordinating Group Accounting requirements across our international locations, ensuring timely execution and effective collaboration between Group Accounting, external partners, and local stakeholders.
  • Supporting Group Accounting and consolidation activities, including:
    • Submission of monthly reporting
    • Inter-company reconciliations and invoicing
    • IC accruals
    • IFRS 16 activities
    • Implementation of Group accounting policies
  • Coordinating transfer pricing and treasury activities, including transfer pricing documentation, inter-company agreements and loans, interest calculations, and invoicing.
  • Supporting the Group Internal Control System (ICS) and contributing to consistent, well-documented, and reliable finance processes across international entities.
  • Supporting finance operations for SMG Serbia, including month-end closing, invoicing, payments, audits, accruals, and ESG reporting.
  • Supporting controlling for international locations by providing inputs for budgeting and forecasting and reporting on deviations to budget and forecast.

This is a new role in our organization, and your responsibilities will evolve as we grow.

What will you bring to the ride?

Your Background & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Audit, or a similar finance role, ideally within an international or multi-entity environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Good general understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and processes (AR, AP, accruals), and month-end closing processes.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and coordinating finance-related activities across teams or entities.
  • Experience with group reporting, consolidation, or financial reporting systems (e.g. LucaNet or similar).

Your application will stand out if you have

  • ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or similar certifications.
  • Exposure to transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Understanding of payroll processes in Serbia is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and confidence working with financial data and reporting. Experience with Google Workspace would be greatly beneficial.
  • English and German language proficiency, as the role involves regular collaboration with external accounting partners in Germany and Austria.
  • A proactive, hands-on, and structured mindset, with the confidence to take ownership.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a strong sense of financial accuracy; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, particularly during closing periods.
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating, sharing knowledge, and supporting others.
  • An open, approachable, and respectful communication style, with the ability to build positive working relationships across different teams and cultures.
