About the Role

The Financial Analyst role at SPS Health is a vital position within the Finance team, responsible for providing strategic financial insights and supporting key decision-making processes across various business segments. Reporting directly to the Manager, Strategic Finance & Planning, the successful candidate will lead real-time financial performance monitoring, develop comprehensive reporting tools, and assist in identifying opportunities for operational and financial improvements. The role involves active participation in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, with a focus on variance analysis, strategic modeling, and evaluating growth opportunities through organic initiatives and M&A activities. A significant aspect of this role involves leveraging AI-driven tools to automate routine processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and increase analytical efficiency, aligning with SPS Health’s commitment to technological innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, public accounting/audit, or management consulting
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, model building, and pivot tables
• Experience with BI reporting tools, databases (dimensional and relational), and query/reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for workflow automation and reporting enhancement (experience with Anthropic Claude is a plus)
• Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from financial and operational data sets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across various levels and functions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Healthcare industry experience or a passion for healthcare is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership, including the Manager, Strategic Finance & Planning, CFO, and other executives, to execute business priorities
• Participate in the monthly accounting close process, acting as a liaison between accounting and operational teams, and conduct variance analysis
• Coordinate and support the annual budgeting process, working with business unit leaders to gather input and facilitate approval
• Develop and continuously improve financial reporting systems, providing critical insights from operational data
• Create and monitor KPIs, conduct root-cause analyses, and identify key business trends
• Build financial models for scenario planning and strategic decision-making
• Support evaluation of M&A targets through due diligence, milestone tracking, and internal communication
• Assist in cash flow modeling and forecasting activities
• Prepare comprehensive reporting packages and presentations for senior leadership
• Develop business cases to support transformative growth initiatives
• Deepen understanding of SPS Health’s business operations, value propositions, and data flows
• Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Leverage AI tools to automate workflows, improve reporting quality, and enhance analytical systems
• Perform additional duties as required to support the finance team and organizational goals

• Competitive salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 base, with additional bonus potential
