About the role:

As a Finance Regulatory & Statistical Reporting Expert at SEB, you’ll be part of Baltic Finance Statutory & Regulatory Excellence team.

Mission of Finance Statutory & Regulatory Excellence team in SEB Baltics is to secure compliance of Finance statutory & regulatory reports in SEB Baltic banking groups and be the trustworthy partner for external and internal stakeholders (auditors, regulators, internal organization) in Finance excellence topics.

This role is suitable for experienced regulatory reporting, finance, audit or supervisory professionals looking to broaden their influence from reporting execution towards regulatory interpretation, policy/methodology ownership and change implementation.

You will act as a subject matter expert on reporting obligations by assessing the impact of new regulations, coordinating

implementation of reporting changes, maintaining reporting policies and methodologies, ensuring that reporting processes are supported by effective controls, performing expert review of key reporting outputs, and acting as a trusted partner for business, finance, compliance, auditors and regulators.

This role is primarily focused on Lithuanian local regulatory and statistical reporting area, with possibility to expand area of responsibility to Baltic level and other reporting areas. Reporting scope includes reporting towards local central bank, tax authority, deposit guarantee schemes, other government institutions and SEB Group.

Acting as the subject matter expert for assigned local regulatory and statistical reporting areas

Providing expert assessment and interpretation of new or changed laws, regulations, business initiatives, determining their impact on reporting obligations, methodologies and processes

Driving implementation of new reporting requirements in reporting solutions and processes together with Finance Development, External Reporting and other stakeholder teams

Representing Finance in regulatory reporting related projects and strategic initiatives

Owning and maintaining internal regulatory reporting policies, methodologies and instructions

Building strong relationships with regulators, auditors, SEB Group functions and other key stakeholders

Strengthening reporting governance, internal controls and risk management framework within assigned reporting areas

Leading responses to inquiries and ad-hoc requests from local and EU authorities

Contributing to audits and regulatory reviews as the reporting subject matter expert

Higher education in finance or economics, mathematics or business management

Experience in financial, regulatory, statistical or supervisory reporting, audit, interpretation of financial or regulatory regulations, evidenced by previous roles and responsibilities. Direct experience with reporting to national authorities is considered a strong benefit.

Strong expertise in reporting regulations, financial reporting principles, regulatory expectations and their impact on statutory and regulatory reporting

Understanding of banking business, products and reporting processes or strong ability to acquire such knowledge

Proven coordination, communication and negotiation skills with ability to cooperate with people at all levels and to deliver within short deadlines

Strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities, ability to see big picture and dig into details, when needed

Structured way of working, strict deadlines keeping

Fluency in spoken and written English
