We are looking for a limited term Financial Accountant to support the accounting activities of the Accounting Operations team by delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, maintaining key accounting reconciliations, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization. This role contributes to the integrity of ENMAX's financial information while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and enhancing service delivery to internal and external customers. Major Responsibilities: Complete accounting and month-end activities for assigned areas, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, allocations, and reporting. Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial analysis and insights. Collaborate with business partners and Finance teams to resolve issues, provide guidance, and support business decisions. Prepare and distribute period-end reports, schedules, and ad hoc financial analysis. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements. Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, controls, efficiency, and customer service. Support ongoing financial reporting, audit requests, and special projects as required. Unique Accountabilities: Payroll, Shared Services Allocation model, Debt Reconciliation, Corporate Cost Department, Pension Statement Education Required: University Degree with 4 years related experience or College Diploma in Business or Commerce 6 years of progressive accounting related experience and enrollment at an advanced level in a designated professional program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered where appropriate. Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modelling. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting practices, and internal controls. Experience preparing and analyzing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, and financial reports. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes. Experience working with ERP and financial systems, such as Workday, Maximo, Adaptive Planning, Power Plan or similar platforms. Salary: Accountant C (CUPE 2026 hourly rates) $97,483.93 - $103,594.04 - $109,684.30 - $115,774.57 - $121,864.83 Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).
