Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment? Do you enjoy managing complex transactions while balancing multiple priorities across diverse portfolios?We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our Private Debt & Loan Operations team. In this role, you will support a CAD $10B private investment portfolio spanning asset classes.
You will play a critical role in transaction processing, cash management, bank reconciliation, financial reporting and operational oversight, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and automation efforts that enable a shift toward more strategic, value-added work.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Process capital calls, distributions, invoices, and related transactions accurately and within deadlines.
- Support investment closings, including documentation review, investment setup, transaction recording, and settlement execution.
- Investigate, resolve, or escalate data and transaction issues within systems such as Aladdin and eFront.
- Maintain and update cash forecasts and actively manage portfolio liquidity requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash controls to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support internal stakeholders and decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Success:
In 12 months, success will be based on the candidate’s ability to independently carry out tasks and assignments and well as solving problems related to private investment accounting, reconciliation and reporting. The Financial Analyst will be the subject matter expert for private investment transactions.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance field and working towards completion of a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset.
- Candidates with 3+ years’ experience in a professional setting.
- Solid understanding of investment asset classes would be beneficial.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel functions to build spreadsheets and manipulate/analyze large datasets.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Detailed oriented and exceptional at managing multiple priorities and adaptive to evolving work demands.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspires the same in others.
