Finance Associate
Location: Dublin 2 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Finance Manager
The Company:
Our client is a leading global law firm based in Dublin 2, with offices internationally and a strong reputation in the legal sector.
They are looking for a Finance Associate to join their busy Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 6–12 months' finance experience who is looking to build on their existing skills and gain further experience within a professional services environment.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of day-to-day finance activities, including:
- Managing the billing inbox and dealing with queries in a timely manner.
- Processing bills and invoices.
- Uploading invoices to eBilling portals.
- Posting transactions to the finance system.
- Processing EFT payments.
- Preparing journals using Excel.
- Reviewing and approving expenses through the firm's expense management system.
- Reviewing and posting invoices.
- Dealing with billing queries from solicitors and assistants.
- Supporting the wider Finance team with business partnering activities.
- Using financial dashboards to review and understand financial information.
- Responding to vendor and supplier queries.
- Assisting with general finance and office duties as required.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 6–12 months' experience in a Finance role.
- Good Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage a busy workload.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related area would be an advantage.
