Right now, FutureMedia is looking for a Financial Controller to strengthen financial discipline across the company, bring transparency to our cost base, and ensure that company spending is well-controlled, justified, and clearly understood.
Your impact
- Own ongoing control and review of the company’s operating expenses across teams and business units.
- Review invoices, recurring costs, vendors, contractors, agencies, and other company expenses to identify unusual, inefficient, or unjustified spending.
- Monitor month-over-month changes in costs and investigate material deviations.
- Review actual spend against budgets provided by functional leaders and flag inconsistencies or overspending.
- Ensure major expenses have a clear owner, business rationale, and appropriate approval.
- Prepare clear monthly and quarterly management reports on company spending and key cost movements.
- Work closely with functional leaders to understand their cost base.
- Improve financial control processes, cost visibility, and internal reporting across the company.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.
About you
- 3+ years of experience in financial controlling, management accounting, cost control, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of operating expenses, P&L structure, and financial controls.
- Practical experience reviewing invoices, vendor costs, contractors, subscriptions, and recurring business expenses.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies and cost anomalies.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and confidence working with large sets of financial data.
- Ability to turn financial data into clear, actionable conclusions for non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable challenging spending decisions and working directly with senior leaders.
- High attention to detail, ownership, and ability to work independently.
- Upper-Intermediate English.

- Experience improving management reporting processes.
