Join Swisspearl as Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our finance team in Gdańsk and support the finance activities of Swisspearl Germany.

This role is based in Gdańsk and able to work in a hybrid model with regular office presence.

This is a hands-on role with a broad range of responsibilities. As the German entity is relatively small, the position covers both controlling and operational finance activities. You will work closely with the German management, Group Finance, our Shared Service Centre and external advisors.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, structured and hands-on, who takes ownership of tasks and is comfortable working independently.

Your responsibilities:

· Coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing for Swisspearl Germany.

· Prepare monthly Group reporting and financial analyses.

· Support budgeting and forecasting processes and prepare variance analyses.

· Monitor the balance sheet, working capital, receivables and other key financial areas.

· Support cash flow forecasting and payment-related activities.

· Follow up on customer and vendor-related finance matters.

· Prepare and review accruals, provisions and other month-end activities.

· Support Intrastat, VAT and other local reporting requirements together with external advisors.

· Support year-end closing, audit and statutory reporting processes.

· Work closely with the Shared Service Centre and Group Finance to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

· Identify and follow up on issues and contribute to improving finance processes and reporting.

· Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to management when needed.

What we are looking for:

· Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.

· Several years of relevant experience in controlling, accounting or financial reporting.

· Good understanding of financial accounting and controlling.

· Experience with month-end closing, budgeting and forecasting.

· Good Excel skills and experience with ERP/reporting systems.

· Experience with German accounting or working in an international environment is an advantage.

· Good English, both written and spoken.

· German language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.

Most importantly, you are:

· Proactive and take initiative rather than waiting for instructions.

· Structured and detail-oriented.

· Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility.

· Analytical and able to understand and explain financial results.

· Practical and solution-oriented.

· A good communicator who enjoys working with colleagues across different countries and functions.

What we offer:

· A varied and hands-on finance role in an international company.

· A broad scope of responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with the German business.

· Cooperation with Group Finance and colleagues across Europe.

· A supportive and collaborative working environment.

· Workplace in Gdańsk Poland - must-have requirement.

If you are looking for a hands-on finance role where you can take ownership and make a difference, we would be happy to hear from you.
