Our client is seeking a hands-on Finance Controller to own the company’s accounting
operations, oversee cash flow, and provide timely, reliable financial reporting to leadership. The
role supports a product-based business with inventory, international suppliers, and manufacturing
assets.
Key Responsibilities
Financial management and reporting
• Lead the monthly close, general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of
financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee cash inflows and outflows, maintain cash forecasts, plan upcoming payments,
and flag risks or unusual activity to leadership.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, collections, customer credit terms, and
payment controls.
• Prepare management reporting on cash flow, margins, working capital, and budget versus
actual results.
Inventory and asset accounting
• Oversee inventory costing, landed-cost allocation, physical count reconciliations,
reserves, and accurate cost of goods sold.
• Manage accounting for molds, tooling, and other manufacturing assets, including
arrangements with upfront and per-production payments. Determine appropriate
capitalization, expense recognition, and depreciation treatment.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and related depreciation and disposal records.
Systems, controls, and compliance
• Administer NetSuite accounting workflows, chart of accounts, access permissions,
approvals, and relevant integrations.
• Maintain effective controls over payments, financial records, and system access.
• Manage banking and lender reporting, including credit facilities and covenant
requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisers on tax, audits, insurance, licenses,
and other compliance requirements, including applicable U.S. sales tax and 1099
reporting.
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on NetSuite proficiency, including accounting workflows and reporting.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and experience owning the full accounting cycle, cash
forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Substantial inventory accounting experience in a product-based or manufacturing
business.
• Experience accounting for complex manufacturing assets, ideally molds or tooling with
multi-stage payment arrangements.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to
explain financial matters clearly to leadership.
• Full-time availability and ability to collaborate across U.S. and Philippines time zones
