Role Description The Financial Controller role at nesto is a full-time remote position responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations and integrity of financial data. On a daily basis, the Financial Controller prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial statements, ensures accurate accounting records, and manages month-end and year-end closing processes. This role leads financial reporting activities, supports budgeting and forecasting, and monitors financial performance against targets. The Financial Controller collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide actionable financial insights, maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with Accounting principles and preparation of Financial Statements.
- Proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to develop, interpret, and present financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to assess financial performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with financial controls, audits, and compliance in a corporate or fintech environment is beneficial.
- Comfort working with modern financial software and ERP tools; strong Excel or similar spreadsheet skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) are an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced setting, with strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
