Our commercial client is looking for a Financial Controller from the FMCG / RETAIL industry to operational efficiency, and compliance across multiple stores while partnering with operations to drive profitability. You will Analyze profitability (sales, costs, labor, overheads). MUST HAVE RETAIL OR FMCG EXPERIENCE OR FAST FOOD GROUP - NON NEGOTIABLE

Salary Up to R 70 000 plus – Hybrid role (1-2 days at home) Early flexi working hours for traffic

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Completed SAICA Articles / SAIPA or CIMA
• 3 years post-articles/ saipa/ cima experience – negotiable
• MUST HAVE RETAIL OR FMCG EXPERIENCE - NON NEGOTIABLE
• Strong knowledge of SARS compliance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial results per store and consolidated group
• Analyze profitability (sales, costs, labor, overheads)
• Monitor key cost drivers including labor, and expenses
• Ensure accurate daily sales reconciliation and cash control processes
• Ensure SARS compliance (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
• Oversee audit readiness and internal controls
• Develop and maintain SOPs for finance and store processes
• Design and enhance financial and operational reporting
• Monitor cash flow and working capital across stores
