Customer Service Representative - Financial Services

Location: Shoreview, MN

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (overtime opportunities available)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid after training period

Pay: $19.21-$20.00/hour

Contract Length: 12+ Months with potential for extension and long-term opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking Customer Service Representatives to support a large financial services organization. In this role, you will work directly with customers to resolve account-related concerns, provide updates, gather information, and ensure a positive customer experience.

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy helping others, have strong communication skills, and are comfortable handling high-volume phone interactions in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to customers regarding account-related matters
• Research and resolve customer inquiries and escalated concerns
• Update account information and document customer interactions accurately
• Gather necessary information to support case resolution
• Review customer situations and determine appropriate next steps
• Process corrective account actions when necessary
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Manage multiple cases while meeting quality and productivity expectations

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience
• Experience working within financial services, banking, lending, insurance, or a related industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to navigate multiple systems while speaking with customers
• Reliable attendance and strong accountability

Preferred:

• Call center or contact center experience
• Banking, mortgage, lending, or financial operations experience
• Experience handling escalated customer concerns
• Experience de-escalating challenging customer situations
• Background in underwriting, quality assurance, compliance, or financial operations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $20.00/hr.
