Financial Management Accountant

Management/Financial Accountant required on a fixed term contract (minimum of 1 year) to cover a secondment at fantastic business widely recognised for having and great culture and employee engagement.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified or qualified by experience accountant to thrive. You will be delivering high-quality management accounting information, supporting financial controls, and delivering continuous improvement. Working closely with the regional businesses, you'll play a key role in supporting financial reporting, statutory compliance, and business decision-making whilst helping to shape and enhance the finance processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the production of accurate and timely monthly accounting information across the region.
• Assisting in maintaining strong financial controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes to ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including FRS 102, VAT, PAYE, NIC, CIS, and assisting with Corporation Tax.
• Providing clear, accurate, and commercially focused financial information to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to quarterly reporting, year-end audits, and statutory submissions.
• Build strong working relationships with finance and operational teams, providing professional support and financial insight.
• Support and mentor junior team members, helping to develop skills and encourage collaboration.
• Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, controls, processes, and reporting capabilities.
• Taking ownership of your work, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, proactively, and within agreed deadlines.
• Acting as a trusted and reliable member of the Finance team, delivering professional support across the business.
• Maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
