Financial Operations Analyst

Location: UK - Fully Remote

Location: London a couple of days per month

Duration: 12 months contract

Hours: 40 hours per week

Bonus: 15% company bonus

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Operations Analyst to support a large-scale, international infrastructure programme involving multiple organizations, telecommunications partners and consortium stakeholders.

This is a highly operational finance role, focused on reconciliation, invoicing, payment workflows, budget tracking and stakeholder coordination rather than traditional accounting or complex financial modelling.

You’ll work across multiple parties and international stakeholders, helping ensure invoices are processed correctly, financial information is accurately tracked and payment-related issues are followed up and resolved.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage financial reconciliation and invoice processing across multiple parties.
  • Track budgets, costs, purchase orders and payment approval workflows.
  • Follow up on outstanding or delayed invoices and resolve billing queries.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports using Google Sheets, Docs, Drive and other reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with telecommunications partners, consortium members and senior stakeholders.
  • Support financial operations across international projects and multiple time zones.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Handle confidential financial information in accordance with NDA requirements.
  • Support compliance with GDPR and UK data protection requirements.
  • Assist with administrative and contractual finance activities across a complex infrastructure programme.

About You

We’re looking for someone with approximately 5-10 years of experience in finance operations, ideally with experience working across multiple parties or organizations.

You should have:

  • Strong experience in finance operations, billing, reconciliation and invoice processing.
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams, deadlines and follow-ups.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Confidence working with external partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of GDPR / UK data protection requirements.
  • Professional services experience, ideally within PwC, Big Four or a similar environment, is desirable.
  • Experience within telecommunications, network infrastructure or consortium environments would be advantageous.

What This Role Is NOT

This role is not primarily focused on traditional accounting, financial modelling or complex corporate finance.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who enjoy the operational side of finance — chasing invoices, managing reconciliations, coordinating stakeholders, tracking POs and keeping financial processes moving.

Why This Role?

  • Work on a major international infrastructure programme with significant global reach.
  • Support a large-scale subsea connectivity project linking Africa, Europe and onward to India.
  • Work with international telecommunications partners, consortium groups and major stakeholders.
  • Fully remote UK working, with only optional visits to the London King’s Cross office a couple of days per month.
  • Exposure to a highly complex, multinational project spanning Europe and Africa, with potential travel to locations including London, Lisbon, South Africa and Kenya.
  • High level of stakeholder exposure and responsibility across a global programme.

The Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidates will be finance operations professionals who are highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

You’ll need to be proactive with follow-ups, comfortable managing competing priorities and confident communicating with external partners when invoices, payments or documentation are delayed.
