Financial Planner - 2 year pathway. This opportunity is for ambitious wannabe financial planners who are willing and able to focus on an intense two year period of development for themselves and their business. Novice to professionally qualified Financial Planner in 2 years. This is a two year training programme to support you in becoming a professionally qualified and authorised financial advisor, working for yourself and not others. Whilst this is a self employed role, you will need to dedicate full time hours towards it at the outset. These hours will be a blend of studying, working with clients and marketing yourself & your business. Once you are 2 years in and have completed your qualification, the working hours can reduce, and the pay will increase. Building a business is demanding, and you will need to be determined and capable of passing the technical qualifications required for the role. Diploma studies Passing the technical qualifications required for the role. This consists of 6 exams which make up the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Building your own business Building and expanding your business and your client bank, including Marketing & PR activity. Full training & support is provided for this. Social media marketing Managing your social media, reaching out to groups & communities to generate your own leads. Client meetings Learn how to take your clients through our 5 meeting financial planning process. First by observing, then by assisting, then running your very own client meetings. Coaching them to make better financial decisions. Compliance processes Learn how to embed the necessary processes so that your practice meets the regulated requirements. Assist the adviser in providing regulated advice and produce compliant suitability reports. Shadowing Assist the financial adviser to learn how to review clients existing plans, and how to provide feedback. Predicted earnings All whilst earning a salary of up to £38,000 by the end of your second year. After this the earning potential is unlimited dependant on what you put in, but is expected to exceed £100,000 by your 5th year. end of year 1 £8,500 18 clients end of year 2 £38,000 66 clients end of year 3 £86,500 102 clients end of year 4 £112,500 138 clients end of year 5 £138,500 174 clients Start up costs - what will I need to get started? Equipment You will need a laptop with a working camera & microphone, as well as a printer, and a scanner. You will also need a working internet connection, but that goes without saying! Back office systems There will be some ongoing costs and licenses that you will need to pay for, such as cashflow modelling systems and some back office stuff. You should allow around £150 a month for these. Exams You will also need to pay for the exams that make up the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, as well as the study guides to accompany these.
