The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leads a trusted partnership with operational leaders, translating complex financial and operational data into actionable insights that drive informed decisions. This is an embedded, forward-leaning leadership role that puts a trusted finance voice at the table with the caregivers who run our hospitals, clinics, and service lines. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the FP&A Manager leads and continuously develops a team of analysts responsible for financial and operational analytics, labor productivity reporting, service line performance analysis, and the support of strategic initiatives and emerging business needs. Through collaboration with clinical, operational, and corporate leaders, the team delivers timely, accurate, and meaningful information that supports organizational performance and long-term growth. This role sets the standard for analytical rigor, responsiveness, and business partnership across Mosaic while building a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and service. The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare finance expertise, strategic thinking, analytical judgment, and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making, develop others, and drive results through collaboration. Lead and develop a team of FP&A analysts providing financial leadership and decision support to operational and corporate leaders across the enterprise. Deliver monthly operating and financial reviews that drive accountability, performance improvement, and informed decision-making. Oversee financial modeling, business case development, and analytical support for capital investments, growth strategies, provider recruitment, and service line initiatives. Provide leadership for Oracle EPM systems and reporting solutions, ensuring data integrity, user adoption, and actionable financial insights. Collaborate with organizational leaders to align financial analysis with operational performance, cost accounting, and strategic objectives. Direct the FP&A operating cadence, including work prioritization, resource allocation, quality assurance, and timely delivery of analytics and reporting. Advance the use of modern analytics tools and technologies to improve efficiency, automation, and business insight. Build trusted relationships with operational, physician, and executive leaders to strengthen Finance's role as a strategic business partner. Lead or support strategic initiatives, enterprise priorities, and other responsibilities as assigned. Education Bachelor's Degree - Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field - Required Master's Degree -or professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or FHFMA - Preferred Work Experience 7+ Years - progressive healthcare finance experience, including hands-on financial analysis - Required Experience presenting financial analysis to non-finance operational leaders and translating results into actionable recommendations - Required Experience with service line profitability, patient-level analysis, cost accounting, and provider/clinic analytics - Required 3+ Years - formal or informal leadership experience, including direct supervision, project leadership, or analyst mentoring - Preferred Working knowledge of Oracle ERP/EPM and Epic EMR - Preferred Licenses and Certifications Upon Hire Travel Requirements Travel to off-site locations may be required Skills and Abilities Essential Technical and Analytical Skills Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with strong data literacy across Power BI, SQL basics, and modern analytics tools. Working knowledge of financial reporting and EMR systems; willingness to learn Oracle ERP/EPM and how Epic revenue and clinical data flow into finance reporting. Comfortable using Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, drafting, and reporting. Ability to structure ambiguous problems, size opportunities quickly, and deliver clear answers under real deadlines.
