Job Overview We're looking for an experienced Fire Designer to support a growing portfolio of commercial, industrial, retail, infrastructure, and data centre projects. In this role, you'll lead the design coordination of wet and dry fire protection systems, ensuring accurate, efficient, and code-compliant deliverables that meet Australian Standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the design of fire protection systems, including sprinkler, hydrant, dry fire, and fire detection systems. Collaborate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure seamless project coordination. Prepare and review 2D drawings, 3D models, cutting sheets for pipe fabrication, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), and as-built documentation. Perform clash detection and support 3D model coordination using industry-standard software. Ensure all fire protection designs comply with Australian Standards (AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 1670, AS 1668), the Building Code of Australia (BCA), and project specifications. Work closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to deliver projects on time and maintain accurate project documentation using project management tools. Requirements Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in fire protection system design. Proven expertise in designing wet and dry fire protection systems. Experience working on commercial, industrial, infrastructure, retail, or data centre projects is highly preferred. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revisto, and Asana. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 1670, AS 1668) and the Building Code of Australia (BCA). Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
