Firmware Program Manager
Location: Antwerp or Amsterdam | Hybrid
Experience: 8+ years in program management for complex technical or connected products, coordinating firmware delivery across engineering, product and cross-functional teams
Own firmware program execution and help drive connected products from plan to launch.
This isn't a lateral move. We built Loop by going all in from day one. You’ll lead the end-to-end execution of firmware deliverables across our connected-product portfolio, creating clarity across milestones, dependencies, risks, capacity and release readiness. All yours. If you've mastered complex program delivery and you're ready to break the rules that no longer work, this is where you do it.
The role
You step into ownership. You move fast and take responsibility for what you build. You focus on work that matters, not on noise that slows things down. You’ll connect Firmware Engineering with Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Digital, Operations, Quality and NPD Program Management, making sure firmware delivery is visible, integrated and moving in step with the wider product plan.
You’ll drive alignment, accountability and timely decisions while respecting clear ownership boundaries. Firmware Engineering owns technical decisions, engineering quality and technical release approval. NPD Program Management owns final program-level trade-offs.
What you’ll do (and what you won’t)
You own the integrated firmware roadmap and milestone framework across connected-product programs.
You turn firmware scope and engineering estimates into executable plans with Firmware Engineering.
You connect firmware milestones with hardware development, app releases, validation, industrialization and commercial launch plans.
You maintain a clear cross-program view of firmware risks, issues, dependencies, capacity and release readiness.
You spot sequencing conflicts, resource constraints and delivery risks early, then drive mitigation and actions through to closure.
You run effective firmware governance, including risk management, scope and change control, release-readiness reviews, decision tracking and escalation.
You translate technical progress and risks into clear product and business impact, giving stakeholders decision-ready information.
You provide NPD Program Managers and leadership with reliable firmware milestones, dependencies, readiness updates, options and recommendations.
You won’t
hide behind processes when a decision or escalation is needed.
cruise quietly in the background when risks or dependencies threaten delivery.
take technical ownership away from Firmware Engineering or program-level trade-offs away from the accountable NPD Program Manager.
talk about AI without practicing it in your workflow.
How you’ll succeed
We look for people who think big, stay curious, and aren’t afraid to go all in to make things happen. You’ll create a reliable view of firmware delivery across the portfolio and make it easier for teams to act early, make informed trade-offs and stay aligned through launch.
Success means firmware milestones and critical actions are delivered reliably, capacity constraints surface early, and risks are managed before they become surprises. Your plans stay aligned with product roadmap priorities and with hardware, digital, validation, industrialization and commercial launch requirements.
You’ll also establish a firmware program-management framework that teams consistently use, covering milestones, integrated planning, dependencies, risks, scope changes, release readiness, reporting and decision tracking.
What you’ll bring
You bring at least 8 years of experience in program management for complex technical or connected products.
You can turn complex technical scope, estimates, dependencies and constraints into clear, executable program plans.
You can manage risks and competing priorities across multiple programs while keeping ownership and decision rights clear.
You communicate technical progress and risk clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You work independently and know when to involve others.
You’re comfortable with change and ambiguity.
You use AI intentionally in your work to improve quality, output, experience or decisions, not just speed. You apply critical judgment to what it produces, validate outputs against a clear bar and stay accountable for the work you ship.
You want your work to matter, not just exist.
Loop isn’t for everyone. We might not be a match if you:
Wait for direction instead of taking initiative.
Mistake activity for impact.
Feel uneasy when things are still taking shape.
Prefer alignment meetings over decisions.
Still listening?
Good. We are not looking for people to watch from the sidelines. Loopers step in, speak up and go for more. More firsts. More growth. More: “I can’t believe we did that.” If you are like that too, press that beautiful apply button and let’s talk.
AI capability is part of how we hire at Loop. During the interview process, we’ll explore how you use AI in your work, where you choose to use it and where you don’t, and how you apply judgment and quality checks to AI-assisted outputs.
