Job Description
The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a highly analytical and customer-focused Flight Applications Systems Analyst to join the Information Technology department in a fully remote capacity. This position supports, maintains, and enhances the University’s core flight systems, including Talon ETA/RMS, SplashBI, and related applications and integrations.
The Flight Applications Systems Analyst provides application support, develops and maintains operational and analytical reports, writes and troubleshoots SQL queries, validates data, and investigates complex system issues. Working closely with academic and administrative departments, this role gathers business requirements, analyzes processes, and translates customer needs into effective reports, system enhancements, and sustainable technical solutions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and deliver responsive customer service. Experience with SplashBI is preferred, but experience with comparable reporting platforms will be considered. Knowledge of higher education and/or flight operations is also beneficial.
This position offers the opportunity to support the University’s flight operations. The role is fully remote, with minimal travel; however, it requires 24/7 rotating on-call availability.
