Show job description

Racing is where our story began.

In 1901, Henry Ford climbed into a car he built himself—"Sweepstakes"—and beat America's most famous driver. He wasn't a racer, but he had to win. He did. Ford Motor Company was born from that victory.

That fighting spirit lives on in Ford Racing today. We're the engineers, strategists, and competitors who bring Ford's track-tested edge into every vehicle we build. Every track, every stage, every proving ground—that's where we prove ourselves.

The result: one of the world's most iconic brands, legendary nameplates, and a team unmatched in the industry.

Our mantra: Race to win, engineer to lead.

If you're a competitor, innovator, or performance obsessive, Ford Racing is where you belong. Help us write the next chapter.

In this position...

Ford Racing is looking for an experienced events and engagement leader to own how our brand shows up live, in person, and at scale. Reporting into our Ford Racing Brand team, you will own the strategy and execution of Ford Racing's flagship experiential moments including the Ford Racing Season Launch, major lifestyle/cultural events: Fanatics Fest, the FAT ice race, and other high-profile trackside, lifestyle and cultural events where Ford Racing needs to make an impact. Beyond event leadership, you will build and own the programs that get our dealer network and our employees fired up and actively participating in the Ford Racing story, turning every major event into a moment the whole Ford community shows up for. This is a people leader role, with a dedicated GSR-level teammate supporting execution, and requires a visionary who thrives on turning big ideas into unforgettable, on-brand experiences.

This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in Allen Park, MI.

What you'll do...

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the Ford Racing Season Launch event, setting the tone for the brand's annual calendar of experiences
  • Drive high-level strategy and on-the-ground involvement for major experiential and lifestyle events including Fanatics Fest, and the FAT ice race, Raptor Rally, ensuring every touchpoint reflects Ford Racing's brand and performance edge (Major Tentpole race weekend events)
  • Build and manage dealer engagement programs that drive local and national dealer participation in major races, and cultural/lifestyle events - developing toolkits, incentives, and co-marketing opportunities that turn dealers into active promoters of Ford Racing in their own markets (Dealer Customer Involvement – Invite customers/VIPs etc… include in activations)
  • Design and run employee engagement initiatives that build pride and connection to Ford Racing, including company-wide race watch parties, event ambassador programs, and internal communications that rally employees around race weekends and brand moments (In direct collaboration with our Ford Communications Team)
  • Lead, develop, and support a direct report (GSR level), while managing budgets, agency partners, and cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Comms, Dealer Relations, Product, Design) to deliver flawless events on time and on budget

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in event marketing, brand activation, or experiential marketing, including direct ownership of large-scale, high-visibility events
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex events and workstreams simultaneously, from strategic planning through flawless on-site execution

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience building programs that engage dealer networks and/or internal employee populations, driving participation and advocacy at scale
  • Prior experience managing people and/or leading cross-functional project teams
  • Strong budget management skills and experience overseeing agency and vendor partners
  • Flexibility for frequent travel, including weekend and evening work tied to event schedules

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage.
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more.
