Job Description This is a remote position. One of our clients, a leader in the Cybersecurity and Network Security Services industry, is looking for an experienced Fortinet Secure WAN & SASE Engineer with strong expertise in designing, deploying, and optimizing Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions. You will be responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance network architectures that enable secure connectivity across branch offices, remote users, cloud environments, and data centers while ensuring operational excellence and adherence to security best practices. Key Deliverables Design and implement secure, scalable Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and SASE architectures for enterprise environments. Deploy, configure, and optimize Fortinet solutions including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE, and FortiAuthenticator. Design highly available network infrastructures ensuring resilience, redundancy, and business continuity. Lead migration projects from traditional WAN or third-party SD-WAN solutions to Fortinet Secure WAN & SASE. Configure application-aware routing, dynamic path selection, WAN optimization, and traffic steering policies. Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and secure remote access capabilities for distributed workforces. Integrate Fortinet solutions with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud where required. Configure VPN technologies including IPsec VPN and SSL VPN for secure site-to-site and remote connectivity. Implement centralized policy management, monitoring, and reporting using FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer. Optimize network and security performance through policy tuning, analytics, and proactive monitoring. Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues across WAN, LAN, cloud, and remote access environments. Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, implementation guides, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer documentation. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to deliver secure networking solutions aligned with business objectives. Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to operational teams following deployment. Requirements Ideal Profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience designing and implementing Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and SASE solutions in enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls and the Fortinet Security Fabric. Experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiSASE. Strong understanding of enterprise networking including: TCP/IP Routing (BGP, OSPF) VLANs NAT DNS DHCP Experience deploying and supporting IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Experience with SD-WAN design, application steering, WAN optimization, and high availability configurations. Knowledge of cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network segmentation, and Zero Trust architectures. Experience with migration projects involving WAN modernization or SASE adoption. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Fortinet certifications (NSE 4/5/6/7 or the new Fortinet Certified Professional/Solution Specialist certifications) are highly desirable.
