I’m partnering with an engineering-led consultancy with a serious open-source pedigree and a 500-strong team across 20+ countries. Its engineers have spent years building and deploying complex software for major enterprises. Now they’re taking that same approach to agentic AI: getting it integrated, deployed and working inside real client environments.

This is a permanent engineering role, with the current enterprise engagement expected to run for around two years. You’ll work directly with stakeholders and users, adapt an agentic platform to different business problems, and own the path from an unclear requirement to a live solution.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and deploy agentic systems in Python, using modern AI frameworks where they fit the problem.
• Develop orchestration, tool use, multi-agent workflows and RAG integrations with enterprise data and systems.
• Work across APIs, cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes to get solutions running in client environments.
• Make technical decisions alongside client teams, explain your thinking clearly and adjust as requirements evolve.

What makes someone successful here

You’re a senior software engineer first, with the judgement to work at a level many businesses would call Staff. You’ve built production systems, understand cloud and platform deployment, and are comfortable using AI tools in your work. You can sit with a client, uncover the real problem and take ownership of solving it without waiting for a backlog of tickets.

A background centred on software engineering and client delivery is important. Experience with Golang, React or deeper Kubernetes work would be useful, but strong Python engineering, deployment capability and consulting instincts are the core of the brief.

The role is remote-first ideal for candidates on the US East Coast or Canada, with travel to client sites as projects require; business travel is covered. It is a full-time, permanent position for candidates already authorised to work in the US.
