Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Agents, Python, AWS Bedrock)

We're building a Forward Deployed Engineering team that sits at the intersection of AI, software engineering, architecture, and business transformation.

This role is for engineers who enjoy solving ambiguous problems, working directly with stakeholders, and shipping production solutions quickly. You'll partner with business and technical teams to identify high-value opportunities, design solutions, build working products, and deploy them into production.

Rather than spending months working from fixed requirements, you'll move from problem discovery to functional solutions in days or weeks. You'll work on AI agents, enterprise integrations, automation platforms, data pipelines, and modern application development while helping drive AI adoption across the business.

What You'll Do

Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges, and desired outcomes
Lead technical discovery sessions and convert ambiguous problems into clear solution designs
Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and agent-based systems
Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation workflows using Python
Build business-facing applications, dashboards, and user interfaces
Create and deploy AI agents and multi-agent systems using modern frameworks and enterprise tooling
Implement MCP-based integrations connecting AI applications to enterprise systems and data sources
Build data pipelines and workflows supporting AI-driven applications
Define architecture decisions, technical standards, and implementation approaches
Deliver secure, scalable, production-ready solutions on cloud platforms
Partner with infrastructure, product, data, and engineering teams throughout delivery

What We're Looking For

Required

Advanced Python development experience building production applications and APIs
Experience designing and deploying production AI agents or agentic workflows
Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock
Practical experience implementing or consuming Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Full-stack development experience including modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar)
Strong solution architecture and systems integration experience
Experience deploying production applications in cloud environments
Ability to work directly with stakeholders and lead technical discovery conversations

Preferred

AWS AgentCore experience
Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel
RAG architecture experience
Vector database experience (Pinecone or similar)
LLM evaluation, observability, and guardrails experience
Docker and Kubernetes experience
Experience extending AI coding assistants through plugins, skills, or custom workflows

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $280000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
