About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and launch AI and automation solutions in complex operational environments. You will own delivery from initial scoping through go-live, partnering with customer teams and internal product and engineering colleagues to turn real workflows into measurable outcomes.
What You'll Do
Embed with customers from kickoff through launch, guiding delivery and managing the working relationship end to end.
Map business workflows, identify automation opportunities, and surface process issues or blockers that need to be addressed first.
Translate business rules into agent behavior, including actions, decision logic, exception handling, and fallbacks.
Configure and deploy agents across customer systems such as ERPs, portals, spreadsheets, email, and custom tools.
Write integration code, scripts, and prototypes, then debug production deployments and iterate based on results.
Lead customer working sessions, communicate impact with clear business metrics, and identify opportunities to expand successful deployments.
Document reusable patterns and runbooks, and share recurring workflow insights with product and engineering teams.
What We're Looking For
Five to eight years of relevant experience, including shipping AI or automation systems in customer environments and owning delivery from scoping through go-live.
Hands-on experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, evaluations, MCP, APIs, and production agent systems.
Practical integration skills with Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
Experience with retrieval-augmented generation and enterprise systems such as ERPs is valuable.
Background in operationally complex sectors such as retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics.
Strong customer-facing communication skills, experience presenting measurable business impact, and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across the UK and Europe, around three days per week during active deployments.
Experience in a startup or project-based consulting environment is useful.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: €110,000 to €200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote in the United Kingdom, with frequent travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe during active deployments.
