Singapore | Forward Deployed Engineer | S$180-210K + equity | Remote
Runtime is hiring for a fast-growing AI infrastructure company.
The short version
An engineer who builds things for customers. Customers rent GPUs from this company to train and run AI models, and you're the person who makes sure it works for them in practice.
What it is
- Mostly software engineering: dashboards, integrations, demo environments, small tools that solve a customer's specific problem
- Direct work with customers who are running open-source models on GPUs, so you'll hear about real problems daily
- Building the quick fix first, then working with the engineering team to turn the recurring ones into product features
What it isn't
- A sales job
- A support queue
- A role where you sit in meetings and write decks
The company in four numbers
$100M Series A | $1B valuation | 1M+ developers | ARR doubled this year
Who we're looking for
- A strong software engineer who can build a full-stack app and ship it
- Python, TypeScript or Go, two of the three, used properly
- Docker and Linux you can troubleshoot without help
- A working understanding of how ML models are trained, tuned and served, plus how LLMs generate text. You don't need to be an ML engineer
- Bonus: recent hands-on AI work, and any time spent working directly with customers
Where this sits
Part of a global team led from the US, working with a sales lead and an infrastructure specialist in the region. APAC is early, so you'll have a say in how it's run.
