About Teamwill Consulting

Putting domain expertise and artificial intelligence at the heart of the decisions that finance millions of projects, vehicles, and equipment around the world is the core of what we do.

For more than 20 years, Teamwill Consulting has been supporting leading players in banking, consumer finance, and mobility through their strategic and technological transformations. Operating in 11 countries and bringing together more than 800 professionals, the Group combines deep industry expertise, close client relationships, and the ability to deliver on a global scale.

Artificial intelligence is a cornerstone of our growth strategy. To carry that ambition, we are strengthening our technology, engineering, and data teams.

Role Summary

Forward Deployed Engineering is a small, deliberately senior team of Teamwill Consulting’s best engineers, reporting to the Head of Forward Deployed Engineering in the CTAIO (Chief Technology & Artificial Intelligence Officer) function. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you take the firm’s artificial intelligence (AI) and software assets and make them work inside a specific client’s environment: deployed, integrated, and delivering real value under that client’s real constraints. This is a hands-on engineering role that also carries real client-facing responsibility: you are frequently the person the client sees, as well as the person who ships the code. This role carries two standing mandates in parallel: deliver durable, working value at the client in front of you, through commitment-based engagements (fixed-price or outcome-based, never staff augmentation), and feed what you build and learn back into Teamwill’s shared asset codebases and central asset portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Know Teamwill’s reusable assets deeply (their architecture, their configuration options, and where their design assumptions might not hold at a given client), then port, deploy, and integrate them into client environments, adapting them to the client’s existing systems, data, and security policy while keeping client-specific assumptions out of the shared asset.

  • Own the deployment-time application of security-by-design and compliance-by-design: this is where a client’s data residency requirement, access model, or regulatory constraint becomes real, and where a design flaw becomes a genuine incident rather than a theoretical risk.

  • Diagnose and fix issues that only appear in a specific client’s real environment, working directly with the client’s technical teams, most of the time on commitment-based engagements where the team is accountable for a working result.

  • Own contributing what you build and learn at a client back into Teamwill’s shared asset codebases and central asset portfolio: recurring client needs, integration patterns, and reusable code, so a solution built once strengthens every future engagement instead of being reinvented.

  • Use AI coding agents to accelerate porting and adapting an asset at a client site, calibrating how much autonomy to grant an agent given the higher stakes of a client’s own environment, and carrying the asset’s own standing context documentation forward into the client’s codebase so an agent starts from it.

  • Communicate directly and credibly with client stakeholders, from engineers to business sponsors, translating technical trade-offs into terms they can act on.

What You’ll Work On

Engagements span Teamwill’s client base, frequently in regulated industries such as financial services, where deploying an AI or software asset means working within the client’s own landscape: existing legacy systems, data residency rules, and a client-side security review. You might spend a few days getting an asset working inside one client’s network, or several months embedded in a larger transformation. Either way, what you ship is a working, secure, maintainable deployment, and success is judged on two things: whether the client gets durable, working value, and whether Teamwill gets reusable, working code and patterns embedded into its shared asset codebases, in addition to a write-up.

The work is international: you will collaborate with teams and clients across Teamwill Consulting’s geographies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including direct client-facing or customer-facing work in addition to internal development.

  • Strong general-purpose software engineering skills (your team’s primary language plus a working ability to read and adapt code in at least one other), comfort dropping into an unfamiliar codebase and making it work correctly and safely, and practical experience with containerization (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and integrating with external systems through an application programming interface (API).

  • Comfort with AI engineering fundamentals: integrating large language models (LLM), understanding evaluation-driven development, and the practical difference between a managed model and a self-hosted, open-weight one.

  • Strong communication skills and the professional maturity to represent Teamwill directly in front of a client, including when something has gone wrong and needs to be explained honestly.

  • High-agency ownership: a client engagement rarely arrives with a complete specification, and this role means proactively figuring out what “done” actually means for this client and driving toward it.

  • Software craftsmanship instincts and an Everything as Code mindset carried into every client environment: configuration, deployment manifests, and documentation are versioned and reviewable.

  • Professional fluency in English; professional French for roles based in France or Tunisia.

Nice to Have

  • Prior consulting, technical presales, or solutions-engineering experience, ideally in banking, capital markets, or another regulated financial-services sector.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (for example Terraform) and GitOps deployment practices.

  • Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard for connecting AI agents to external tools and data sources.

Location & Mobility

A minimum of 3 days per week, on site is expected, at Teamwill Consulting offices or at client engagement locations, with travel varying by assignment.

Teamwill fosters an inclusive work environment and ensures equal opportunity in all hiring decisions, regardless of gender, age, national or ethnic origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, beliefs, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
