One of the companies we work with at Joppy is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the team.
Working arrangements: Fully remote from anywhere in Spain
You will work embedded in the team of a large, established client in the US healthcare and insurance sector, an organization that moves slowly and where AI applied well can make a real difference. The goal is clear: understand deeply how the business works, find where it makes sense to bring in AI, and take it all the way to real production, not a pilot that ends up sitting in a drawer. Quality, speed and visible results matter from the first weeks.
What you'll do
• Real discovery work with the client: understanding their processes, their systems and where the bottlenecks are before proposing anything.
• Design and propose AI solutions grounded in business sense, not just technically elegant ones.
• Evaluate the proposed solution and carry it through to delivery.
• Be the technical face of the project in front of the client, with constant, clear communication.
What we're looking for
• Real hands-on experience building with AI (LLMs, agents, automation) in production environments, not just courses or small personal projects.
• Intermediate level with at least one solid client engagement, up to senior or lead. This is not a position for junior profiles; there is real architecture involved.
• Someone who uses AI naturally in their day-to-day work (Claude Code, Codex or similar) and can defend the decisions they make with its help.
• Fluent English, to work comfortably and directly with a client team in the US.
• Autonomy, independent judgment and a genuine drive to own an entire project, not just execute tasks.
• Care for quality and attention to detail: work that is clean, well explained and delivered on time.
• Clear, proactive communication with both business stakeholders and engineers.
You don't need
A fixed tech stack. How you think and how you communicate matters far more to us than the exact list of technologies you know.
