Forward Deployed Engineer / Solutions Engineer (Shopify + Mobile Apps)

Our client is an AI-native mobile commerce platform. It powers the branded iOS/Android shopping apps of leading Shopify DTC brands, and more than 10M shoppers use apps built on it. Our client is a small team supporting ~200 brands. It needs a technical, customer-facing engineer who turns brand requests into shipped app features. The role sits between Solutions Engineer, Technical Customer Success and Forward Deployed Engineer.

What you'll do
- Own customer implementation requests end to end: scope, build, ship and walk the brand through it.
- Wire brands' Shopify data (product, variant and collection metafields, metaobjects) into our client's apps correctly and on-brand.
- Onboard new brands: audit their Shopify store, map custom data to our client capabilities, configure and launch the app (typically 2–3 weeks).
- Answer and resolve technical customer questions and support tickets. Triage and prioritize with Customer Success.
- Document repeat solutions as playbooks. Bring recurring requests to the CTO as product gaps.

Must have
- Production React Native experience, plus TypeScript/React/Node.
- Deep Shopify expertise: metafields, metaobjects, Admin GraphQL and Storefront APIs, Liquid, OS 2.0 theme architecture, Shopify Plus.
- Comfortable on customer calls every day. Clear written communication (Slack, Loom, email).
- Ships fast and cleanly; uses AI coding tools well.

Selection process (client-specific): Shortlisted candidates will build one or more preview apps on our client's platform as a work sample. Our client will judge fit on these builds. Candidates should expect a hands-on build exercise rather than a take-home quiz. Our client is also preparing a list of real customer questions and support tickets, which may be part of the exercise (pending from Rafi).
