A pioneering professional services business is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to play a key role in establishing and growing its UK audit offering while working alongside an international team at the forefront of audit innovation.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior leadership, technology specialists and experienced audit professionals, you will help develop audit methodologies, drive client delivery and influence the evolution of a modern, technology-first audit practice.

This role offers a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on client engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building something new while remaining close to both clients and audit delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of an innovative AI-enabled audit platform.
• Provide expertise on UK audit regulations, methodology and market expectations.
• Lead and deliver external audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio.
• Support the development of audit methodologies, workflows and quality assurance processes.
• Work closely with product and technology teams to enhance audit delivery through automation and AI.
• Identify market opportunities and contribute to the firm's growth strategy.
• Help build and develop the UK audit team through recruitment, mentoring and coaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple international locations.

About You

We're interested in speaking with individuals who:

• Have significant experience gained within a Big 4, Top 10 or leading independent audit firm.
• Hold a recognised audit qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Are an established Responsible Individual (RI).
• Possess strong technical audit expertise and experience leading complex audit engagements.
• Have a strong understanding of the UK audit market.
• Enjoy taking ownership and operating in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Are commercially minded and excited by growth opportunities.
• Have a genuine interest in how AI, automation and technology can transform audit and assurance services.

Experience in audit transformation, technology-enabled audit solutions, methodology development or launching new service offerings would be highly advantageous.
