Founding Engineer

Planbase is building the AI-native operations layer that will power every modern clinic in the U.S. We’re already the operational backbone for multiple healthcare organizations valued at over $1B. 5,000+ doctors delivering care to 100M+ patients are scheduled weekly through Planbase. Customers love us. Our top sales channel is unprompted referrals. We’re hiring founding engineers to help build the infrastructure behind the next generation of B2B software. This is a high-ownership role: you’ll work directly with the founders to shape the product, the company, and the way healthcare and staffing operations are run. You’ll be among the first employees at an early-stage startup, which means challenge, uncertainty, and opportunity. This role isn’t for everyone — to be a good fit, you need to be hungry to move build, break and push boundaries. --- What you’ll do Ship fast, talk to customers, and build AI agents that automate complex tasks in healthcare Work across the stack — from building AI agents to delivering elegant user-facing features. Build the platform infrastructure that allows AI to generate customer-specific apps, reports, insights and workflows. Help define engineering culture and grow the team. --- What kind of person we’re looking for High-energy, opinionated, and fun to work with. You must have experience building complex products to hit the ground running. Strong product taste. You’ve built real products for real customers, not just internal tools, integrations or side projects. You move quickly but maintain a high bar for quality — and expect the same from those around you. You want to help build not just a product, but a company and a category-defining business.
