Founding Software Engineer, Robotics Infrastructure

Lambda Robotics builds autonomous systems for physical infrastructure. We’re looking for a founding software engineer to build the platform that turns individual robots into a secure, reliable fleet deployable across many customers and sites. What you’ll own Build the infrastructure for managing and operating fleets of robots Design robot registration, identity, authentication, and access-control systems Build secure multi-tenant architecture that isolates each customer’s robots and data Develop remote deployment, configuration, software updates, and rollback systems Build logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident-recovery infrastructure Develop APIs and customer interfaces for commanding robots and viewing their status Build reliable pipelines for robot telemetry, video, logs, and operational data Work closely with robotics engineers to productionize teleoperation, autonomy, and data collection Define the architecture needed to scale from a few robots to thousands What we’re looking for Deep experience building backend, distributed, cloud, or device-management systems Comfortable working across Linux, networking, APIs, databases, and deployment infrastructure Ability to design reliable systems that interact with real physical hardware Strong ownership and comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment Nice to have Experience with robotics, ROS 2, IoT, edge computing, or autonomous systems Experience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, observability, or over-the-air updates Experience building secure multi-tenant SaaS or fleet-management platforms Familiarity with real-time video streaming and unreliable network environments
