🤝 Build the partner channel at the frontier of AI
This is a very exciting time for companies at the frontier of AI, and Unloq is scaling fast. We’re building the the future of Decision Intelligence, held to one standard: every recommendation is defensible to a board through predictive and causal modelling. We’re VC-backed, going live with important enterprise customers, and building towards our Series A.
That makes this a rare chance to join a startup early in its growth, while the team is small, the big problems are still open, and the people who join now shape what Unloq becomes. As we grow, we’re building our partner channel, the trusted route into UK mid-market and enterprise leadership teams, and this role is its founding seat.
We’re looking for a one-of-a-kind Head of Partnerships to own that channel, turn trusted introductions into paid proofs of value and long-term platform customers, and prove which partners actually produce revenue. You’ll report directly to our CEO and work alongside both co-founders and our commercial team. Around 70% of your week is with partners and their clients. The rest is building the programme.
The Role
You’ll own the journey from a trusted introduction to a signed client.
Your priority partners are mid-tier accountancy and advisory firms, private equity houses and their portfolio teams, mid-tier strategy and management consultancies, and IT, managed service and implementation partners. They get a credible AI offer for their clients and agreed commission on the deals they introduce.
- Building the partner channel from the ground up, with first priority partners signed in Q1 2027: choose the few firms with real access to UK mid-market and enterpriser, and favour partners who produce deals over a long list who don’t
- Turning relationships into introductions through a joint account plan with each partner, naming which of their clients to introduce and why, reviewed with them every month
- Co-selling through to signature: joining first meetings, and working with the commercial team on discovery, proposals and paid proofs of value
- Designing a partner programme covering onboarding, agreements, commission and ways of working, simple enough that a busy partner at an accountancy firm actually uses it
- Growing co-selling with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS and Microsoft, including marketplace listings and introductions from their field teams
- Owning the partner funnel in Copper CRM, so every introduction, opportunity and pound of revenue is credited to the partner that produced it
- Equipping partners with a short partner pack, case studies and a clear picture of when a client is worth introducing, working with marketing
- Running a few dinners and roundtables, co-hosted with partners, where they bring their clients
In your first 90 days, you’ll review our existing partners and decide where to invest, sign priority partners with joint account plans, and set up the partner pipeline and conversion flows.
Who This Is For
- 3+ years in partnership sales for B2B Tech, building or running a partner or alliance channel into UK mid-market or enterprise companies
- An existing network in at least one of our priority partner groups. Non-negotiable, and how we’ll assess you. You can name the firms, the people inside them and which of their clients would buy from us, and you can get meetings in your first month
- Co-selling in practice: you’ve run client meetings, handled objections and helped deals through to signature
- Commercial structuring: commission, referral terms and partner agreements that work for both sides, including where independence or conflict rules apply
- Pipeline discipline. You’ve owned a partner funnel in a CRM and can show which partners produced revenue and which didn’t
- Fluency with AI and data at board level. You don’t need to be technical, but you can explain to a CFO or a PE operating partner, in plain English, what we do and why a proof of value is worth paying for
- AI-native. Claude or similar every day for research, account planning and partner materials
- You build from scratch, without a partner operations team behind you
Nice to have: time in PE portfolio operations, a mid-tier accountancy firm or a consultancy; Databricks, AWS or Microsoft co-sell and marketplace experience; selling data, analytics or AI services; NetSuite or Salesforce partner ecosystems; running executive events; having led a small team.
You’ll do well here if you can already answer these:
- A partner at a mid-tier accountancy firm likes us, has 300 mid-market clients, and hasn’t made an introduction in three months. What do you do in the next 30 days?
- A PE operating partner wants commission for introducing a portfolio company. How do you structure it so it doesn’t look like a conflict to that company’s board?
Role Basics
Role: Full-time Head of Partnerships
Location: UK, remote with team days in Birmingham and London
Compensation: Competitive salary + commission on partner-sourced revenue + equity
Start: ASAP
Process: a conversation with our CEO, a round with our CTO and commercial team, a case study (a 90-day plan for one priority partner), and a final round with leadership
Why Join Unloq?
- Build the channel. You’ll design Unloq’s partner programme from day one, and shape how the company reaches the mid-market.
- Real ownership, real upside. Partnerships is the one route to market nobody owns yet, and you share in the revenue it produces.
- Direct founder access. You report to the CEO. Small team, big problems, zero bureaucracy.
- A product worth introducing. We’re partners of Anthropic, Databricks, AWS, Microsoft and Salesforce
We’re building the system of record for business decisions, so AI is trustworthy enough for the boardroom and not only the back office. It’s early, it’s hard, and the right people find that exciting. If you’d rather earn one introduction a client acts on than collect a hundred logos for a partner page, this is your role.
