Founding Senior Engineer

About the Role

Join a small engineering team as its second engineer, building an AI-powered growth platform for consumer brands. This hands-on, player-coach role will shape the product, architecture, and engineering culture while helping automate how merchants improve their growth operations.

What You'll Do

• Build data infrastructure and event systems that track merchant lifecycle activity and connect actions to outcomes.

• Develop an agentic growth loop that assesses operations, identifies opportunities, and executes improvements automatically.

• Own full-stack delivery of the growth engine, with a strong focus on backend systems and infrastructure.

• Build reliable integrations with commerce and advertising platforms, including Shopify, Meta, TikTok, and Klaviyo.

• Help establish engineering practices and mentor engineers while contributing hands-on every day.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years of engineering experience, including full-stack work with a strong backend focus.

• Experience building data infrastructure, event systems, APIs, and integrations.

• Experience at a high-growth technology company or well-funded startup.

• Prior experience leading or mentoring one or two engineers as a tech lead, founder, or player-coach.

• Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, LLMs, Shopify, Meta Ads API, TikTok Ads API, and Klaviyo.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
