We are looking for our first engineers to help build this foundation.

The Role

As a Founding Software Engineer, you will work directly with the founding team to design, build, and scale the core technology behind Factor.

You will have significant ownership across the stack—from architecture decisions and backend systems to product experiences and infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to shape not only the product, but also the engineering culture and technical foundation of the company.

What You'll Do

• Design and build core product capabilities from first principles.

• Develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Build intuitive frontend experiences for complex technical workflows.

• Work across the stack to solve challenging engineering problems.

• Make architectural decisions that influence the long-term direction of the product.

• Own features end-to-end—from idea to deployment and iteration.

• Work closely with the founder to translate ideas into reliable software.

• Establish engineering practices, tools, and processes from the ground up.

• Use modern AI development tools to accelerate engineering velocity while maintaining high standards.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for engineers who are curious, technically strong, and excited by ambiguity.

You should have:

• 2–5 years of experience building production software.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Ability to reason about complex systems.

• Experience designing and building backend services.

• Experience with modern frontend development.

• Strong ownership mindset and bias toward action.

• High learning velocity and curiosity.

• Ability to move between product, engineering, and infrastructure challenges.

You don't need to know every technology we use. We value strong fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.
