The Finance Organization
At Verizon, we are building a world-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. We have begun a comprehensive program to streamline processes, improve systems, realign the organization and add opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth. We’re finding new ways to add value and provide strategic support. This is the kind of work we do. - Drive and support digital enablement initiatives, enhancing capital planning and reporting processes.
- Lead digital transformation projects and create data-driven storyboards to highlight risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams (e.g. CSG) to drive continuous improvements.
- Navigate and overcome resistance by thinking creatively and achieving goals despite challenges or objections.
- Provide key support for tools, systems, and technology used by the Corporate Capital Team and partners.
- Identify and resolve reporting issues through root cause analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
- Guiding the overall strategic and tactical direction for the Capital Technology and Digital Enablement Team, including development and delivery of all special projects and execution of on-going activities.
- Being a trusted advisor providing valuable decision support and guidance to executive management.
- Communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business through effective framing and analysis.
- Being a change agent and designing, developing, and implementing methods and strategies to continually improve capital planning and reporting business processes.
- Developing digital tools to drive enhancements, efficiencies, and standardization in capital planning and reporting.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite and experience with dashboard creation and executive reporting.
- Experience managing complex, fast moving modeling and forecasting projects from initiation to completion.
- Proven ability to analyze processes and models, diagnose inefficiencies, identify key issues and drive effective solutions for process and model improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and to influence partners across the organization (horizontally and vertically).
- Experience creating business cases and building executive presentations that concisely highlight key issues and drivers.
- Ability to think outside the box and achieve results despite resistance or obstacles.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Economics or equivalent experience.
- A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA, FPAC).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik and Tableau
- Experience with Monte Carlo Analysis
- Strong expertise utilizing Python and advanced SQL to extract complex datasets, build and validate predictive models, and deploy machine learning workflows that drive strategic decision-making.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
