Regional Finance Manager
Emergency Medicine | Physician-Led, PE-Backed
Location: Pensacola, FL or remote (Central or Eastern time zone); ~10% travel
Reports to: Director of Finance
Employment type: Full-time, exempt
Department: FP&A
Company: Emergency Care Partners
Role Summary
As Regional Finance Manager, you’ll be the strategic finance partner to regional operations and physician leadership for a ~$150M portfolio of emergency departments. You’ll own the numbers end to end, from budget and forecast through monthly performance, and turn site-level drivers like volume, acuity, payer mix, provider productivity, and hospital subsidies into decisions that improve margin and fuel growth. This is a high-visibility seat: your work will reach regional VPs, the executive team, and our PE sponsor.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Own monthly close review, variance analysis, and reporting for the assigned region (~20 sites, $150M revenue)
• Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast with regional VPs and leaders
• Build and own site-level P&Ls that tie visits, labor cost, and contribution margin to operational drivers
• Identify margin improvement opportunities, quantify the impact, and hold initiatives accountable to delivery
Operational & Contract Economics
• Evaluate provider compensation, scheduling, and coverage models against productivity benchmarks, and recommend changes
• Own hospital contract economics (stipends, subsidies, renewal profitability) and arm leadership with the analysis for renegotiations
Growth & Sponsor Reporting
• Drive the financial work behind new sites, whether acquired or launched: diligence, integration, and transition models
• Prepare board and PE sponsor materials, including KPIs and EBITDA bridges
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years in FP&A, operational finance, or financial analysis, including 2+ years in healthcare services
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders, including physicians
Preferred
• Experience in physician practice management, emergency medicine, or other hospital-based specialties
• Familiarity with professional fee revenue cycle (CPT/E&M coding, payer contracting, collections)
• Experience in a PE-backed or multi-site environment
• MBA, CPA, or CFA
• Experience with Hyperion, NetSuite, and Power BI or Tableau
• Curiosity about using AI and automation to work more efficiently
Core Competencies
• Analytical rigor and attention to detail
• Business partnership and ability to influence without direct authority
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growth environment
• Clear, concise communication of complex financial concepts
Why Join ECP
• Join a physician-led, PE-backed group operating ~60 ERs across 10 states, in a growth phase with active M&A
• Own a region as its finance lead, not a slice of someone else’s model
• Get direct exposure to executive leadership and sponsor reporting
• Be part of an FP&A team that’s being built out now, with room to grow alongside it
