The FP&A Manager AMENA is responsible for leading the region’s financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and forward-looking analysis. The role acts as the single source of truth for current and future financials, ensuring actuals are well understood, forecasts are robust, and risks and opportunities are actively monitored. As the primary support to the Finance Director, the FP&A Manager translates AMENA financial data into clear insights, drives governance across planning processes, and supports sound commercial and strategic decision-making.


Key Themes and Detailed Tasks

1. Financial Forecasting, Planning System and Governance

  • Lead the end-to-end financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning cycle for AMENA, including timelines, templates, assumptions, stakeholder inputs, consolidations, reviews, and final submissions.
  • Own the FP&A calendar and governance framework to ensure timely, consistent, and high-quality planning deliverables across countries, functions, and business units.
  • Improve AMENA planning processes, models, tools, data flows, and system adoption to strengthen forecast accuracy, efficiency, transparency, and accountability, while standardising and automating recurring reporting to shift focus on insights, decision support, and strategic analysis.
  • Ensure planning assumptions are clearly documented, challenged, aligned with business drivers, and traceable across actuals, forecast, budget, strategic plan, and latest estimate cycles.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to reflect actuals accurately in forecasts and management reporting.
  • Build strong regional and local finance relationships so FP&A is trusted, responsive, and stakeholder focused.


2. Single Source of Truth, Actuals Control and Forward-Looking Performance

  • Maintain a reliable, integrated view of AMENA financial performance across actuals, forecast, budget, strategic plan, and key business scenarios.
  • Ensure consistent financial data, KPIs, assumptions, reporting hierarchies, and version control across management reports, leadership reviews, and decision forums.
  • Lead monthly performance reviews, explaining actual results versus forecast, budget, prior year, and strategic targets with clear business drivers and actions.
  • Provide forward-looking insights through rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, sensitivities, and early warning indicators to support proactive decision-making.
  • Act as custodian of financial truth for AMENA by resolving data gaps, reporting inconsistencies, and duplicated outputs across teams and systems.


3. Risk and Opportunity Management

  • Maintain a structured view of material risks and opportunities across AMENA (including but not limited to commercial performance, PVM, cost variances, productivity, investment phasing, external market factors, etc.)
  • Facilitate regular risk and opportunity reviews with both FD and President AMENA, ensuring financial impacts are quantified and mitigation or trade offs or acceleration actions are tracked.
  • to ensure financial choices are transparent, disciplined, and aligned with regional priorities.
  • Build scenario views that help leadership understand best case, base case, and downside outcomes, including implications for targets, cash flow, investments, and strategic priorities.
  • Escalate emerging risks and decision points early to the Finance Director, with practical recommendations and clear financial trade-offs.


4. Other Responsibilities

  • Build FP&A capability across modelling, storytelling, systems, governance, stakeholder management, business acumen, and executive-level communication.
  • Set clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and development plans for team members, creating a culture of accountability, curiosity, collaboration, and commercial ownership.
  • Assisted the Finance Director in preparing business presentations and preliminary financial narratives for AMENA performance reviews.
  • Anticipate questions from corporate finance and senior leaders, proactively prepare balanced yet holistic analytics that highlights drivers behind performance, suggest potential recommendations and ensure decisions are grounded in financial reality, risk awareness, and both short-term long-term value creation.
  • Represent the Finance Director in selected forums where appropriate, ensuring follow-through on actions, governance standards, and financial discipline.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business; professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA is advantageous.
  • 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, including exposure to FP&A, commercial finance, business planning, management reporting, or regional finance roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, business drivers, internal controls, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to lead planning cycles, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines in a matrixed, regional environment.
  • Advanced analytical and modelling skills, with proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, etc); experience with ERP, BI, planning, consolidation, or FP&A systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convert data into insight and clear recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching, developing, and managing a high-performing finance team.
  • Commercially minded, curious, proactive, and comfortable challenging assumptions while building trust-based relationships across finance and business teams.
  • High standards of integrity, governance, accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability.
